I made up the project from her website with the art deco lady. I followed the instructions exactly, then found that it doesn't fit into a standard A5 envelope. Its about 1 cm too big, wide. It cant be trimmed or I'd cut off the lady's head! now I have to try to make an envelope big enough.

I find that files sometimes print out a different size to that I expect. I realised that I have to check my printer setup and select to print the size the image is given at rather than to ' fit' the paper.

Look at your original post Carole , tried to help like Brenda said if you make it again alter the size on your printer so it comes out smaller

I will do that but the measurments of actual stepper card base is given on site and as the lady and art deco back stands out from the back of stepper she wont fit. I did make an envelope of sorts from 2 A4 papers but I wasn't happy with it.

The design is a PDF so should be able to be resized. (i think!)

OK, so I gave in.
I imported the pdf file into CraftArtist and measured the laydeeee with the sheet on an A4 template. She measured at 6.5 inches, so even if she is snug to the fold she is a smidge to snug in an A5. Add a little bit of wiggle room and forget it.  Sad
However I printed the pdf file out directly and selected an 80% print size and she measures at 5.25 inches. That should do nicely, and she could sit a little above the fold which should 'sit' better anyway.
So, although I haven't made up that card yet, I think that would be my remedy.
Having looked at more of her design sheets I think I would measure up before I print if envelope size is important. Even working out what percent of the height of the A4 sheet is taken up by the main image could be enough to work out if and how much of a decrease is needed.

Thanks for doing that Brenda. I didn't even think about the envelope before I started  . I just went flying in with the card. I have learnt my lesson!
